The best things to do in the pretty Indian region of Goa full of beaches and greenery

The top reason travellers head to Goa is for total relaxation but naturally there are plenty of things to see and do. The seaside state of India is a beautiful place to venture to that is filled with activities.

Any tourist heading there should think about what they want to see and make an itinerary as there is much to visit. There are many natural green spaces in Goa that are well worth seeing and a great example is the wonderful Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary. Travellers should head out early for these walks that are 7km and 12km with two forest watchtowers available for great views. For sea lovers there are a number of places worth visiting along the coast. It is definitely a great idea to take a car ride along the seaside to head to a number of quaint villages and superb beaches. These include Palolem Beach that is a firm favourite with yoga enthusiasts and is a lovely place to meditate and unwind in the sunshine. A great place for first-time visitors to this part of the world is the largest town in North Goa called Mapusa. There are also a range of brilliant cafes and restaurants that feature local food and drink. Goa has a number of pretty buildings and a top example is the Church of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception found in the state capital of Panaji.
