1. Visit the Grand Canyon

One of the seven natural wonders of the world, the Grand Canyon, in the US State of Arizona, is visited by more than 5 million people each year. View its stunning colours and formations from Mather Point on the South Rim, hike through it, take a raft trip on the Colorado River or visit the Grand Canyon Skywalk, the glass platform which overlooks a side canyon to the west of the main canyon.

2. Watch the sun set over Uluru

Previously known as Ayers Rock, this world-famous natural landmark, situated about 200 miles from Alice Springs in Australia’s Northern Territory, is now usually referred to as Uluru, the name originally given to it by the Aboriginal people to whom it is sacred. Head to the site at sunrise or sunset to see its orange hues change colour for a magical experience.

3. See the jewel-studded Taj Mahal

Situated near the city of Agra, India, this magnificent mausoleum is one of the most famous buildings in the world. Constructed in the seventeenth century, this intricately decorated white marble building is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is visited by between two and three million people each year. Take a tour of the site and explore the beautiful gardens for an experience you’ll remember forever.

4. Walk along the Great Wall of China

Although the Great Wall of China can’t actually be seen from space, it’s still one of the world’s most impressive structures. It stretches for 5,500 miles from Hushan to Jiayugan Pass and was constructed about 2,000 years ago. Stay in the city of Beijing, and you can visit and walk along a number of sections of the Great Wall.

5. Explore the island city of Singapore

If you’re looking for a vibrant destination packed with attractions, a visit to Singapore is a must. You can visit family attractions like Singapore Zoo, enjoy gourmet dining experiences in renowned restaurants, visit historic sites like Fort Siloso and hang out in some of the world’s hottest nightclubs.

6. Soak up the party atmosphere in Rio de Janeiro

The Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro is the perfect place for sun-worshippers and samba enthusiasts to go for a hot and steamy holiday. Book your trip to coincide with the annual Rio Carnival, held over two weeks in February and March, for the ultimate Rio experience and let the Latin American rhythms carry you away into a different world for a while.

7. Discover Bangkok’s Temples and Palaces

No round the world trip is complete without a trip to Bangkok – and its palaces and temples are simply stunning. The most famous is the Grand Palace, a huge complex which is the official residence of the King of Thailand. Spend a day exploring its gold-covered temples and courtyards before heading to Wat Pho, one of the country’s oldest temples, to see the image of the Reclining Buddha.

8. Explore the Incan city of Machu Picchu

Take the train or follow the world-famous Inca Trail to Machu Picchu and spend some time marvelling at Peru’s most popular tourist attraction. Situated 2,430m above sea level, getting there is a bit of an adventure in itself, but it’s worth making the trip to see the remains of this city, one of the most historically and spiritually significant sites in South America.

Wherever you decide to go, however, you can easily get to all of your bucket list dream destinations when you take a multi stop round the world trip.

Awesome activity bucketlist! I’ve been to Uluru during one of my kimberley safaris and I must say, the sunsets here are spectacular! And I love camping near Ayers Rock with the stars as your roof and the wilderness as your wall. Truly a treat for the outdoor enthusiast.
